Mexico:  Scientists have recorded volcanic activity activity since Tuesday from the Popocatepetl volcano and raised the alert level from "yellow-phase 2" to "yellow-phase 3" on Thursday.  The next alert level is "red alert" and if the alert level is raised, evacuations will begin.  Schools have been closed in the area, as it exhaled steam, gas and ash 41 times as of Thursday, according to the National Center for Disaster Prevention, and it is generating low amplitude tremors.  On Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, a soft glow was noticeable above the crater, indicative of simmering volcanic activity.

Earthquake activity has increased more drastically than volcanic activity.  The graph below shows how dramatically earthquake activity has increased since 2010.


The Word of God says, "There were voices, thunders and lightnings and there was a great earthquake such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake and so great.  The great city was divided into three parts and the cities of the nations fell, and great Babylon came into remembrance before God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath; and every island fled away and the mountains were not found."
