MARINE
COURT-MARTIALED FOR POSTING – AND REFUSING TO REMOVE – BIBLE VERSE
Excerpts taken from
FoxNews.com
Lance Corporal Monifa Sterling posted a small strip of paper
including a slightly altered Bible verse on her computer, “No weapons formed
against me shall prosper.”
The Bible verse actually reads,
“No weapon that is formed
against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in
judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord
and their righteousness is of Me, saith the Lord” Isaiah 54:17.
Sterling’s attorney (on appeal), Michael Berry with Liberty
Institute, said Sterling’s supervisor cursed at her and ordered her to
immediately remove the verse, but she refused the order.
Sterling was found guilty of failing to go to her appointed
place of duty, disrespect toward a superior commissioned officer and four
specifications of disobeying the lawful order of a noncommissioned officer. She
was given a bad conduct discharge and a reduction in rank from lance corporal
to private.
Sterling’s attorney, Michael Berry, said, “If the government can
order a Marine not to display a Bible verse, they could try and order her not
to get a religious tattoo, or go to church on Sunday. Restricting a Marine’s
free exercise of religion is blatantly unconstitutional.”
Since her court-martial, Sterling retained the services of
Liberty Institute, as well as former US Solicitor General Paul Clement, who is
also a professor at Georgetown University.
Liberty Institute and Clement plan to argue that the appellate
court should have applied the Religious Freedom Restoration Act in Sterling’s
case, protecting her right to post Bible verses as a form of religious
exercise, reported FoxNews.com.
Last week, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation demanded
that Major General Craig Olson be court-martialed for mentioning “God” during
his speech at a National Day of Prayer Task Force event earlier this month.
The name, “Military Religious Freedom Foundation” sounds very
good, doesn’t it? It sounds good, but the group rose up from the pit of hell
and they have the spirit of antichrist working in them. These “Alinsky radicals” have a primary
purpose to persecute Christians wherever they find them in the military.
Christians shouldn't enlist in the military at this time, because the Commander in Chief is Barack Hussein Obama and he too has the spirit of antichrist working in him against Christians and Israel. One only needs to read a few articles in the Destruction to the United States and Terrorism categories to understand this is factual.
On the other hand, if a Muslim should post a Qur’anic scripture
in the military, you can believe that no one will say “boo” to him, or her, at least not while Barack Hussein Obama is in "office."
Jesus said,
“You shall be hated of all men for My name’s sake, but he that
shall endure unto the end shall be saved” Mark 13:13.
John the Revelator wrote,
“I saw thrones and those who sat upon them and judgment was
given unto them; and I saw the souls of those who were beheaded for the witness
of Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not worshiped the beast (antichrist),
neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in
their hands, and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousands years”
Revelation 20:4.
People are killed in Africa, North Korea, China, Vietnam and throughout
the Middle East for the name of Christ and persecution of Christians is on the
rise in the US and the UK, which is Bible prophecy being fulfilled before our
eyes. Do we not see Muslims beheading Christians continuously throughout the
Middle East today, just as John prophesied concerning the last days?
Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled and those
remaining will surely come to pass. Are you prepared to stand before God and
give an account of the life you have lived on this earth? If not, salvation is
only a prayer away. Please visit the How Can I Be Saved page - your eternal
destiny depends on it. God bless you.
