Two Horses

My sister, Sheila, sent this story to me (author unknown). It touched my heart in such a way that I had to share it with all of you.

Two Horses

Just up the road from my home is a field with two horses in it. From a distance, each looks like every other horse, but if you stop and look closely, you will see something quite amazing. One horse is blind. His owner chose not to put him down, but has made a good home for him. If you are nearby and listening, you can hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will find that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. A bell is attached to her halter and it lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her. As you stand and watch these two friends, you'll see how she is always checking on him, and that he listens for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray. When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back, making sure her friend isn't too far behind to hear the bell.

Like the owners of these horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect, or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need. Sometimes we are blind horses being guided by the little ringing bells of those who God places in our lives. Other times, we are guide horses, helping others see.

Good friends are like this... You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Damascus Exodus Prophetic

Bab al-Salam, Syria: Syrian troops have driven back rebels in two districts in Damascus, a week after insurgents launched a major attack on the capital. Witnesses say that young men are summarily executed in Damascus, reported Reuters. Government troops took control of the Damascus neighborhood of Mezzeh and executed at least 20 unarmed men aged 20 to 30. "Most had bullet holes, one with as many as 18. Three had their hands tied behind their backs. Some of the men were even in their pajamas. Several men had their legs broken and fingers missing. Others were stabbed with knives," said Bashir al-Kheir, one of the activists.

In Barzeh, members of the Syrian army under the command of Assad's brother, Maher Assad, executed several young men to regain control northern Damascus. The rebels have gained control of a border crossing with Iraq and another crossing with Turkey, which is a show of progress for the revolutionaries. Rebels also seized an army infantry school in the town of Musalmiyeh and captured several loyalist officers, while others defected, a senior military defector in Turkey said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 1,261 people were killed in Damascus, including 299 of Assad's forces. It is reported that the uprising has claimed about 19,000 lives.

Arab countries would help to ensure safe passage out of Syria for President Assad, if he stepped down quickly, something he has shown no inclination to do, reported Reuters.

As we, who discern the times, watch the "count down" of Bible prophecies being fulfilled before our eyes, I have been waiting for the invasion of Damascus, according to the prophecies given by Jeremiah and Isaiah thousands of years ago regarding the last days. The Bible says, "Damascus is waxed feeble and turns herself to flee, and fear has seized on her; anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail" Jeremiah 49:24. In fact, after Syrian forces bombed a northern Damascus suburb in an attempt to seize the town from rebels, thousands fled the area, just as Jeremiah prophesied they would.

These battles mark the beginning of the end of Damascus. The Word of God also says, "The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city and it shall be a ruinous heap" Isaiah17:1. This is among the many signs marking the last days, the last generation, which will see the return of the Lord.

President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Calls for World Forces to Annihilate Israel

I don't believe he is capable of producing a portrait that doesn't project his evil self.
The president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, posted a speech on his website today, calling for the annihilation of Israel. He posted, "The ultimate goals of the world forces must be the annihilation of Israel."

Ahmadinejad's most recent antisemitic tirade should serve as a "wake-up call" and erode any doubts as to the true character of the Iranian government, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's spokesman Mark Regev said Thursday.

Don't they look chummy?
Iran's hostility toward Israel dates back to the Islamic Revolution led by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979. Since that time and to the present, the surrounding nations are gradually being taken over by Islamic radicals and there isn't a nation left in the Middle East that is civil to Israel. With the help of Barack Obama during the Arab Spring, the few remaining nations that were nonviolent and civil are now radically opposed to Israel.

These events are right in line with Bible prophecy, "I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be taken, the houses rifled, the women ravished and half of the city will go into captivity, and the residue of the people will not be cut off from the city. Then the LORD will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle, and His feet will stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives will cleave in the middle toward the east and toward the west, and there will be a very great valley and half the mountain will be moved toward the north and half of it toward the south. And you will flee to the valley of the mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azal; yes, you will flee like you fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah King of Judah. And the LORD my GOD will come and all the saints with Him" Zechariah 14:2-5.

So, there you have it! The little wimp Ahmadinejad can rant all he wants about destroying Israel, but the LORD will return as soon as Jerusalem is invaded and half of the city is taken captive. He is going to destroy all of the nations that come against Israel, it is just a matter of a bit more time. The LORD will return with "all the saints" and fight that last battle against evil in our dispensation. Will you be with Him? Rob Bell, Blind Leading the Blind - Straight to Hell

Hell fire, is it real? Maybe you have asked yourself this question. Those of you who might have asked yourself that question have probably not read much of the Bible. If you have, I suppose you may have questioned its authenticity as well.

The bottom line is this, if you believe that there is a God of the Bible, that His Word is true, you must believe in hell. Jesus spoke of hell about as much as He spoke of mercy and love. Maybe you don't believe that. Well, there is so much being said about the love and mercy of God, we have that covered, so I don't mind telling you what Jesus said about the damnation of hell.

For example, you will probably never hear Pastor Joel Osteen preach a sermon on hell, and you probably won't hear Pastor Rick Warren preach a sermon on hell either, unless either or both of them get saved. I can't help it if that remark offends you, but the fact of the matter is that any pastor who preaches only half the Word and not the "unsavory parts" is a false teacher. The Bible says, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears" 2 Timothy 4:3. The meaning to that passage is that in the last days people will not want to hear the truth, because it convicts their hearts about the sin they allow; they will instead support preachers who will only preach about the grace, mercy, love, forbearance and longsuffering nature of God. They will not tell you about the wrath of God that will be poured out on the ungodly at the end of days, "The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness" Romans 1:18. Also, "Let no man deceive you with vain words, for because of these things the wrath of God will come upon the children of disobedience" Ephesians 5:6.

A popular pastor, Rob Bell of Michigan, recently wrote a book, "Love Wins." His message is that "the road to heaven is wider than contemporary Christianity preaches," and he questioned the existence of hell. Apparently, he doesn't believe what the Bible says, "Therefore hell has enlarged herself and opened her mouth without measure..." Isaiah 5:14. The Bible also says, "If the righteous scarcely be saved, where will the ungodly and sinner appear?" 1 Peter 4:18. I believe Jesus Himself made it quite clear where they would go when He said, "You serpents, you generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell?" Matthew 23:33. When He said this, He was actually talking to the self-righteous religious leaders of His day, who refused to repent and follow Christ. Rob Bell was named by Time Magazine as being among the top 100 most influential men in the world. With his "no hell - everybody goes to heaven" message, his church in Michigan filled up with 11,000 people in attendance on Sundays in 2005. Who knows, the attendance at his church today may even approach the approximate 40K Joel Osteen has at his church. Joel Osteen preaches basically the same message as Rob Bell.

The prophet Zechariah had a few words to say from God about false shepherds (preachers): "Thus saith the Lord my God, 'Feed the flock of the slaughter, whose possessors slay them, and do not hold themselves guilty; and those who sell them say, Blessed be the Lord, for I am rich, and their own shepherds do not pity them.'" Zechariah 11:4-5. In other words, God is calling for real pastors to feed the flock (parishioners) who are being slaughtered with lies. The false pastors are saying, "I am rich," and they don't pity the people they are leading to hell with their heresies, lies they tell in order to beef up attendance and make a lot of money, making themselves rich.

Wouldn't you say that even the possibility that there is a hell is too great a risk to take? I know there is a hell, 100%, because Jesus said so and it is referenced throughout the entire Bible. Even in the mind of the unbeliever, there should be a 50-50 chance that there is a hell, so why would anyone want to risk going there - forever...and ever...and ever...without end? The torment never ends and the Bible declares this: "He will drink the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation, and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb (Jesus); and the smoke of their torment will ascend up forever and ever, and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast (satan) and his image, whoever receives the mark of his name" Revelation 14:10-11.

Just imagine, Adolph Hitler entered hell on April 30, 1945, and he is still burning away in a tormenting hell fire, with no reprieve. A million years from now, he will still be burning!

God is a good and loving God. We were all condemned to death when Adam and Eve sinned, but God loved us so much that He sent His only Son to die and pay the cruel penalty on the cross for our sins, so we could live eternally in heaven with Him (John 3:16). Nevertheless, He is also the epitome of wrath, and whoever rejects the death of His Son will burn forever, that is a fact, friend. It is written in His Word time and time again. After all, He is God Almighty!

Ebola Outbreak in Uganda - 14 Deaths

Fourteen people have died in western Uganda in the last three weeks, since an Ebola outbreak hit that nation. The president of Uganda Yoweri Museveni urged people to avoid physical contact, after the deadly virus claimed one life in their nation's capital, Kampala.

Ebola is one of the most virulent diseases in the world. It is spread through close personal contact and it kills about 90% of those who become infected. President Museveni said relatives and friends should not bury someone who is suspected to have died of Ebola. "Instead, call health workers because they know how to do it," he said. "I wish you good luck and may God rest the souls of those who died in eternal peace," President Museveni said, as he ended his address to the nation.

The first victim of this latest outbreak of Ebola was a pregnant woman. Uganda has seen three major outbreaks in the past 12 years. The deadliest outbreak occurred in 2000, when 425 people were infected. There is no vaccine for the virus. Symptoms include: backache, chills, diarrhea, fatigue, fever, headache, nausea, sore throat, vomiting; and late symptoms include: bleeding from the eyes, ears and nose; bleeding from the mouth and rectum, bloody rash over the entire body, swelling of the eyes (conjunctivitis) and increased pain in the skin.

Jesus said these signs will signal His return, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places" Matthew 24:7. Pestilences, such as Ebola, bird flu, swine flu, measles, cholera and more are plaguing the world right now. The signs of our Lord's return are prevalent in the world today. God: "I will cut off the pride of Palestinians"

The Word of God says, "...I will cut off the pride of the Philistines (ancient Palestinians - same people), and I will take away his blood out of his mouth and his abominations from between his teeth; but he that remains, even he, will be for our God..." Zechariah 9:7-8.

Zechariah, as did other prophets, prophesied about the return of the Lord and the blessings that would follow at the end of the age. They also told about the coming fate of the Godless and wicked. The Word of the Lord given to Zechariah here in chapter nine explains how the pride of the Philistines (ancient Palestinians) would be cut off, his bloodshed and devouring would be stopped, and those who remain would be for the one and only true God of heaven and earth.

We are living in perilous times, the last days before the return of the Lord, friends. You need only read Bible prophecy and look around you at what is happening in the world today to realize that the return of the Lord and the end of the age is near. I will give you one example, among so many, of a "type and shadow" of the impending fulfillment of prophecy, an incident indicative of future judgment:

Rudy Eugene, 31 years old.
On May 26, 2012, 31-year-old Rudy Eugene attacked Ronald Poppo, a homeless man in Miami, Florida, eating off most of the man's face, before an officer could intervene, shooting Eugene to death. One warning shot did not stop Eugene. After being shot, he only turned to the officer with blood and flesh hanging from his mouth, growling like a dog, then went back to further gnaw and chew Poppo's face off. The officer then had to pump Eugene full of bullets in order to stop his attack.

This crime was about as violent as you can get. Moments before his attack against Mr. Poppo, who was resting on a sidewalk, Eugene was seen walking in the area of Miami Beach, Florida, tearing out the pages of a Bible. Eugene had been studying/comparing both the Bible and the Qu'ran, but the Qu'ran remained in his car unscathed, while Eugene went walking the streets of Miami ripping the Bible apart. Moments later, he became as a wild ape, tearing his clothes off and swinging naked on a streetlight. Then a witness described Eugene as "tearing the homeless man to pieces with his mouth," before bullets stopped the attack. "The guy just kept eating the other guy away, like ripping his skin." He said after the policeman yelled at Eugene to stop, the naked man raised his head "with pieces of flesh in his mouth," he growled, and began chewing again. Eugene's autopsy revealed he had "human flesh lodged between his teeth" and he obviously had human blood in his mouth.

Can you see the parallel here? The Bible says, "Know this, that in the last days perilous times shall come." 2 Timothy 3:1. Among the descriptions made later in 2 Timothy 3, about people living in the last days, are that they will become "incontinent (out of control)" and "fierce (wild and savage)." We are seeing this happen throughout the world right now, unlike any time before.

I believe it is pertinent to recognize that Eugene, who became "incontinent and fierce" was reading the Qu'ran and the Bible and he was seen tearing the Bible apart before he became a wild man, with human flesh and blood in his mouth.

The Palestinians worship Allah and they are extremely violent people, cutting off the heads of "apostates" and killing their own women (honor killings), because of their pride, on a regular basis throughout the Middle East.

I invite you to look at the scripture, Zechariah 9:7-8, as it is written at the beginning of this article, and make the connection between the Palestinians, Eugene and his Qu'ran (Palestinian bible), and what the prophet said in Zechariah 9:7-8. God is going to "cut off the pride of the Philistines" when Jesus returns. If you honestly cannot see this connection, even by what happened to Rudy Eugene as he literally ate the flesh off of a man, it is time to wake up, read God's Word, and pray for spiritual sight, before it is too late.
