I wonder if Obama thinks he is so loveable, he doesn't even have to check his facts before he speaks? During his State of the Union address, he presented "fact" about the "positive impact of early education," which actually does not exist.

I read an interesting report on The Daily Advance and I'll share some information I gathered there:

President Obama wants the government to educate preschool children universally, with the cooperation of the states. He said "study after study" shows that pre-K education creates better outcomes for children.

In the meantime, a negative report was handed out from a study of existing pre-K education, costing taxpayers $8 billion dollars a year. The study was conducted by the Department of Health and Human Services. An excerpt from the study states, "...by the end of third grade, there were very few (positive) impacts...The few impacts that were found did not show a clear pattern of favorable or unfavorable impacts for children."

Public education costs taxpayers about $900 billion annually (en.wikipedia.org). Billions are spent each year to teach children not only basic math, English, science, and (a cropped and distorted Socialist viewpoint of) history, but also to teach them that we evolved from apes, early sex education (starting first grade), homosexual sex education (abominations), and after having kicked God and prayer out of schools, Islam is being taught in some public schools under the guise of history! Why isn't the true and living God and Christianity taught as a part of our history? Let's not forget about the footbaths for Muslim students in US public schools!

During her speech on October 17, 2011, Michelle Obama was not kidding when she was quoted as saying, "That's why we start with kids, right? We can affect who they will be forever." This "governmental takeover of the minds of kids" has been an ongoing and deliberate Illuminati agenda since the early 1900s.

Children were predominantly home educated until the 19th century. The worst thing that ever happened to America was public schools. Until the public school system took over, children were taught the Bible and how to pray. They were polite, moral and respected and obeyed their parents. Since compulsory education took over, the Bible and prayer have been removed, inappropriate sex education is taught to very young children (now, this includes abominable homosexual education!), and they are taught they evolved from apes! ...while "Christian" parents did little to nothing! If every Christian parent had withdrawn their children from public schools, as apes and sex was introduced and the Word of God thrown out, not only would children still be respectful and well-mannered, but this satanic agenda would have come to a screeching halt! Now, not only do the abominations continue, but it gradually becomes worse.

Pre-K schools in America. Go ahead, America, sleep on. Before you know it, they will be inside the birthing room of hospitals to collect your newborn!

I home educated my son against all odds and at great sacrifice. I am not bragging; I am only speaking the truth. If I can help someone out there facing a brutal public school system, call me what you like, I will give you my testimony.

Initially, my husband was against the idea, as was everyone else I knew. I prayed, and before our son reached four, my husband came home excited because he heard a good report about home education on Focus on the Family (radio). I stopped working, which cut our income more than in half at that time and we gave up a lot. The short of it is, after a few years of home education, people everywhere complimented our son's character, his vocabulary and knowledge. Some tried to tell me he was a genius! People in stores, in the doctor's office, people everywhere couldn't stop talking about Levi.

Levi has gone on to be with the Lord at the age of 24. He suffered a debilitating illness for 14 years and God took him home. It is grievous; the grief never leaves, but one thing keeps me going...Levi was taught the Word of God from a very early age and because of that, he did not fear death. He knew he had eternal life with our Lord and Savior and he also knew we would be together in heaven for eternity. What price tag can you put on that? Levi left this world peacefully. I was at his bedside. We sang gospel hymns, we prayed together, and a short while after that, he bowed his head and went to heaven with our Lord. He never cried or complained. He never expressed fear. He never doubted that we would be together forever after this life. I ask again, what price can you put on that?

America's children need to know the Word of God; they need to know God's plans for their lives; they need to know about "the peace of God, which passes all understanding" (Philippians 4:7). They need God to not only get them through this life full of trials and sometimes tribulation, but they need the living God to get them into eternal heaven, and escape eternal fires of hell. You have it in your hands to teach your children the ways of God, or not. Your children will suffer the consequences if you don't.

Vatican Protects Pope Benedict from Sexual Abuse Prosecution

Anonymous church sources have said that Pope Benedict's decision to reside in the Vatican after he resigns will provide him with legal protection against prosecution in connection with sexual abuse cases around the world, reported Huffington Post.

One Vatican official, speaking on condition of anonymity said, "His continued presence in the Vatican is necessary, otherwise he might be defenseless. He wouldn't have his immunity, his prerogatives, his security, if he is anywhere else. I see a big problem, if he were to go anywhere else. I'm thinking in terms of his personal security, his safety. We don't have a secret service that can devote huge resources (like they do) to ex-presidents," the official said.

A key consideration is the pope's potential exposure to legal prosecution over the Catholic Church's sexual abuse crimes.

Catholic popes tortured, skinned and burned alive millions of Christians and Jews during the Inquisition. There are historical records to these facts and Foxes Book of Martyrs is a good source, although I caution those who are faint of heart. Personally, I have only been able to read few pages myself. The accounts are too horrific to think about. According to BishopAccountability.org, there have been more than 6,100 credible child sexual abuse claims against Catholic priests since 1950. An attorney for plaintiffs said there are probably tens of thousands of unreported cases. Given these facts, you would think that anyone in their right mind would get as far away from the Catholic church as possible.

There is a reason why the Bible refers to people as "sheep." Dumb sheep just follow the shepherd, good or bad.

The Word of God provides plenty of scriptures that would give anyone caution about the Catholic church, if they will just read it!

Against worshiping and praying to idols: God said, "You shall make no idols nor graven image, neither rear up a standing image, neither set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it, for I am the Lord your God" Leviticus 26:1. The Catholic church has statues of saints and the mother of Jesus all over the place and Catholics bow down to these images, praying to them and worshiping them. This is an abomination, because the first of the Ten Commandments is, "You shall have no other gods before Me" Exodus 20:3.

Against forbidding to marry and abstain from meat: For hundreds of years the Catholic church held that parishioners should abstain from meat on Fridays and they still forbid priests and nuns to marry, which has perverted many: "Now the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter days some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats, which God created to be received with thanksgiving of them who believe and know the truth" 1 Timothy 4:1-3.

How much clearer can you get than that? Calling all Catholics: Read the Bible for yourself, learn the truth of God's Word, and get out of the Catholic church, while there is still time.

The Bible tells us about a "great whore," an apostate church, in numerous scriptures (Revelation 17 -19). Revelation 17:9 says, "Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are the seven mountains on which the woman sits." This woman, the great whore, sits on seven mountains. There is only one city in the world known as the City on Seven Hills, and that is Rome. The Vatican City sits amidst Rome and she is the "great whore," the harlot apostate church described in the Word of God. It is very clear. In fact, the Vatican holds itself out to be "The City on Seven Hills" in their own documents.

The Bible tells us further that this woman sits upon a beast with seven heads and ten horns, which represents an empire and rulers. "The ten horns which you saw shall hate the whore and make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh and burn her with fire" Revelation 17:16. The empire of the last days will destroy the Vatican city.

"I heard another voice from heaven, saying, 'Come out of her, My people, that you be not partakers of her sins, that you receive not of her plagues'" Revelation 18:4. Before God allows the rulers of this world to destroy the Vatican, He is calling for His people to "come out of her." "For true and righteous are His judgments, for He has judged the great whore, which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand" Revelation 19:2. "Avenged the blood of His servants?" Yes, the Catholic church killed innumerable Christians, tortured them mercilessly, skinned them alive, burned them alive at the stake during the Inquisition. The world has forgotten, but God has not forgotten and the Vatican City will be destroyed, burned with fire to "avenge the blood of God's servants."

The Bible says, "The merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her, for no man buys her merchandise anymore...and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple and scarlet and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls'" Revelation 18:11,16

You will never find more "scarlet and purple, gold, precious stones and pearls" in any one church, as described in Revelation of the "great whore," than you will find in the Catholic church. I'm not certain that the Crown Jewels of Britain can compare with the Pope's jeweled tiara.

The great abomination of the Catholic church is that the pope holds himself out to be "God in the flesh." No one can exalt himself to the place of God Almighty, no one. God said, "Look unto Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God and there is none else" Isaiah 45:22. "I am the Lord; that is My name, and My glory I will not give to another, neither my praise to graven images" Isaiah 42:8.

The Catholic church, in every respect, goes contrary to the ordinances and character of God.

Remember what the Lord is saying in the last book of the Bible, "I heard another voice from heaven, saying, 'Come out of her, My people, that you be not partakers of her sins, that you receive not of her plagues'" Revelation 18:4.

Are you a Catholic? I challenge you to read the Bible for yourself. Study the scriptures I have referenced for you above and "come out of her," that harlot church, which will be destroyed in the latter days. Jesus is the only mediator between God and man, "There is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5.

The Bible says, "The veil of the temple was torn in twain from the top to the bottom" Mark 15:38. Throughout Biblical history, there was a very high veil which separated the holy place from the "most holy place," where God sat on the mercy seat. The high priest (before Christ) would sacrifice and make intercession before God for the people. He was the only one who could enter the "most holy place," where the mercy seat of God was. When Christ was crucified, the veil separating the holy place of the temple from the "most holy place" was torn from top to bottom. The veil was more than 49' high (30 cubits) and the fact that it was torn from top to bottom meant that only the hand of God could have torn it on the day of Christ's death. God demonstrated that the priest no longer had to come before God in behalf of the people; the people, at the time of Christ's death, could enter the most holy place for themselves and pray to God.

The fact that the Catholic church ignores what the Bible said about the veil, which separated God from man, that it was torn when Christ died, and the fact that they still hold themselves out to be mediators between God and man, in place of Christ, is an abomination before God. Their actions attempt to nullify what Christ did on the cross, dying for our sins and paving the way for men to "come boldly unto the throne of grace" Hebrews 4:16.

Skeptical About Civil War in America?

It is still difficult to find some ammunition and certain firearms and parts. A lot of people in the United States appreciate the US Constitution and plan to defend it, possibly with their lives, as millions of our forefathers did. They aren't stupid.

Do you believe Christians shouldn't need to defend their children and their families, in that God will protect us? Christian martyrs in the early church gave up their lives willingly. Instructions left by Jesus? Jesus, knowing the Romans would invade Israel, said, "Now, he who has a purse, let him take it and likewise his scrip (bag or wallet), and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one" Luke 22:36.

God supplies our needs "according to His riches in glory" (Philippians 4:19). Does this mean that because God supplies our food, we don't have to go out and buy groceries? God provides, but He expects us to do our part. A man, or woman, has a duty to protect his/her children and family. We do not step aside when danger comes and say, "Oh Lord, come down from heaven and protect my children;" we stand between them and danger.

InfoWars.com reported yesterday that the Department of Homeland Security has purchased new targets for federal agents. These new cardboard cut-out targets include children, pregnant women and elderly people!

Now why do you suppose that Obama's DHS agents need to fire on targets of children, pregnant women and the elderly?

Infowars.com also reported that the company behind the shooting targets of children received $2 million from DHS. Law Enforcement Targets, Inc. is the service provider for DHS, the Justice Department and law enforcement agencies throughout the country.

DHS also purchased enough ammunition, roughly 2 billion rounds, during the last year to supply a 30-year war. What does DHS need that much ammo for? The military purchases their own ammunition (?). DHS also purchased 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles last September.

In light of the fact that DHS has purchased such outrageous targets, an unimaginable amount of ammo and assault rifles, this alone should send up 2 billion red flags in the minds of American citizens, or at least move them to take precautions.

After all, Winston Churchhill said, "Don't trust Hitler!" No one listened to the man!...until it was way too late...6 million dead Jews too late...and 5 million dead others = 11 million!...incinerated in ovens!...because the world thought Hitler was a nice guy...Churchhill knew better! Was that so long ago? Some people in that generation are still living today!

...which reminds me of a passage of scripture quoted by the wisest king who ever lived, according to God's Word, "The thing that has been is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done, and there is no new thing under the sun" Ecclesiastes 1:9.

It seems Obama's DHS is well underway with their desensitization program. Do you really think your families are not in danger? You wouldn't be alone. As the Nazis confiscated the Jews' firearms, issued the "Star of David" for their clothes, fenced them into ghettos, then told them they were taking a quick trip to a "safer place," the Jews sheepishly loaded their children and families into those cattle cars!

Many of you may be thinking, Who in the world would be willing to round up Americans, let alone fire on them! Actually, there are plenty of Muslims in the US now, thanks to Obama, that I'm sure wouldn't mind filling those positions. Of course, we have always had the criminal element in society and they even fill law enforcement and military positions sometimes.

Obama's new "litmus test" for top ranking military officials is whether or not they will obey an order to fire on US citizens. If the answer is "no," they're out, according to an anonymous high ranking military official.

Is there hope? Yes, in our Lord and Savior - alone. Hundreds of Bible prophecies have been fulfilled with exact accuracy, and the remaining prophecies will be fulfilled also. Are you prepared for eternity, or do you believe you will live on this earth, as it exists today, forever? Never has happened for anyone. We are all stepping into eternity, no ifs, ands or buts about it.

Muslim Charged with Beheading Two Christians in the US

Yusuf Ibrahim, a 28-year-old Muslim, was arrested in Philadelphia for beheading two Christians, after their bodies were found dismembered, with their heads and hands severed, in the back yard of a home in Buena Vista, New Jersey.

The Qu'ran says that Muslims should "smite unbelievers necks and cut every one of their fingers off" Qu'ran 8:12.

Obama has immigrated tens of thousands of Muslims into this nation during his presidency, 80,000 among a recent group. I wonder if Ibrahim was one of them (?). With many Muslims living in America now and given the Qu'ran's tenants of violence and mayhem, it was bound to start happening sooner or later, but this is not the first time. There have been other beheadings in the United States by Muslims; this is what their "holy book" tells them to do! They didn't leave their Islamic beliefs (including beheadings on Fridays in the town squares) in the Middle East.

The accused was found and arrested, as he drove a Mercedes belonging to one of the victims. Historically, when Muslims invade a town or village, they philter it, taking all possessions, including women and children as slaves. This is their "modus operandi," and it is what their Qu'ran (Muslim bible) tells them they can do!

In September, a well-known Jihadi writer on the internet, Muhib ru-yat al-Rahman, wrote that Muslims living in Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and the US should behead infidels who criticize Islam and "display their heads along roads!"

WND also confirmed a Sky News report of the crucifixion of dissidents, wrote Bob Unruh with WND. * Bob Unruh worked with the Associated Press for 30 years, prior to joining WND in 2006.

Obama's propagandized mainstream news media still has not reported the crucifixions in Egypt. I can only surmise that he doesn't want Americans to read such articles, while remembering he gave $770 million of this bankrupt nation's tax dollars to Muslims to refurbish mosques, or the fact that he had a strong hand in ousting former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak and Libya's president Muammar Gadaffi, to help bring Muslim terrorists from the Muslim Brotherhood into the presidential posts, or the fact that he has migrated tens of thousands of blood-letting Muslims into this nation, which should come in handy when the tyrannical president of the US decides to take complete dictatorial control over the nation, whoever that will be at the time, whether it be Obama, or a different Illuminati New World Order puppet.

Jesus said concerning the end times, "They will put you out of the synagogues, yes, the time will come when whoever kills you will think he does God a service" John 16:2. Muslims have killed and tortured millions of Christians, as did the Catholic hierarchy during the "Inquisition," both having the spirit of antichrist.

Constitutional Sheriffs Called Out to Fight the Law

Richard Mack was a former Sheriff in Graham County, Arizona, who joined with the former Ravalli County Sheriff Jay Printz in a lawsuit against Washington, when Bill Clinton demanded sheriffs enforce provisions of the Brady Bill gun control law. He won.

Since then he has been at the head of a movement that calls sheriffs throughout the nation to stand for the Constitutional rights of American citizens.

Washington plans to limit guns and harass citizens who own guns legally, by taxing them, fingerprinting them, searching their homes, and the list goes on; while criminals hold illegal guns and they have to do nothing, but find victims.

Mack told WND.com, "It's not complicated. Gun control is illegal and it's against the Constitution. What people don't realize is that the Second Amendment was designed to protect us from the power of the federal government."

He went on to say, "I hope and pray America's sheriffs won't allow anymore gun control. The sheriffs need to be united in letting the federal government know that we're not going to allow it. Out of 200 sheriffs...most of them have said they would lay down their lives first, rather than allow any more federal control. They also said they would do everything they could to stop gun control and gun confiscation."

"If the federal government wants to start a new civil war, all they need to do is go ahead with gun confiscation," Mack said.

Remember the story of Wayne Hage in Nye County, Nevada, whose cattle the Bureau of Land Management wanted to confiscate in order to take Hage's water rights (without cattle needing water, Hage would have had to give up his water rights in NV to the feds)? Nye County Sheriff Tony DeMeo refused to allow the feds to confiscate Hage's cattle. The BLM told the Sheriff they would send a SWAT team, but Sheriff DeMeo said he would send his SWAT team to meet up with theirs! The feds backed off. There are a few stories out there like this and in every case, the feds backed off. We need to stand up for our Constitutional rights.

As American citizens, we can't forget what Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt said, "The Sheriff is the chief officer in the county, even on federal land, if the land is in the county."

"The county sheriffs need to act and make new deputies to stop federal authority in the counties," Pratt told WND. "This is a defensible idea. He can deputize people to serve, since they are the ones who voted for him to represent them. A lot of citizens would stand up for their Second Amendment rights if they were protected by the Sheriff."

From what I am gleaning throughout the internet, the feds are going to start a civil war right here in America, if they don't back off and stop trying to do away with the Second Amendment rights of US citizens. It could come to that, as we draw closer to the return of the Lord.

The antichrist (beast) described in Revelation 13 will be no wimp. He will reign terror, such as the world has never seen. Jesus said, "Then shall be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be" Matthew 24:21.

We are headed quickly for that time, not only the US, but the entire world.

Democrats Introduce Bill to Search Gun Owner's Homes

Democrats in Washington are working on legislation, SB5737, which would essentially obliterate the Second and Fourth Amendment rights of citizens who legally own certain firearms. Part of the language written into the bill states,

"In order to continue to possess an assault weapon that was legally possessed on the effective date of this section, the person possessing shall...safely and securely store the assault weapon. The Sheriff of the county may, no more than once per year, conduct an inspection to ensure compliance with this subsection."

If enacted, sheriffs can search your home once a year, without a search warrant.

This is just the beginning. Obama is determined to finish the job he started during his first term and now the real aggression begins. He is set on bringing this nation down to level with other nations economically and socially, which not only means impoverishing the nation, but taking away the rights of the people. It is part of a New World Order agenda and Obama is full speed ahead now.

I am happy to report that according to the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA), 279 County Sheriffs and 8 State Sheriff's Associations throughout this nation have affirmed their commitment to uphold and the Constitution against Obama's unlawful gun control measures.

If law abiding citizens are disarmed, only criminals and law enforcement will have weapons. If every citizen had guards around them, as the Illuminati does, we wouldn't have anything to worry about either. Obama's children are heavily guarded by well-armed security. To add insult to injury, citizens all over the nation have reported that 911 doesn't respond. Governments are cutting back and laying off law enforcement officials, some governments are bankrupt and in various communities, 911 doesn't respond promptly to emergency calls. Does Obama care? Do other well-protected government officials care? Obama said the Constitution is fundamentally "flawed and it continues to this day."

It is against God's ordinances to "respect persons." In other words, what is good for the president should be applied to citizens. In all respects, people should be treated equally. This is God's way.

Obama and Congress are exempt from Obamacare. This is because Obamacare is not good enough for them, they must have better. Obamacare is only for everyone else beneath them. This is evil in the sight of God and it is not according to God's ordinances.

Jesus said, "As you would that men should do to you, do also to them likewise" Luke 6:31. In other words, Treat others in the same manner you wish to be treated.

We are living in perilous times. To desire to leave people defenseless against intruders and killers, is unconscionable. No, this legislation does not restrict all defense weapons, however, to illegally search a citizen's home just because that person owns a defense weapon is a very big step in the wrong direction. There are governmental factions who want to disarm the American people completely. These laws are just stepping stones to the great NWO platform, gun confiscations.

All of this must come about before the New World Order can usher in the antichrist, who will control everything, right down to who can buy and sell,

"He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads, that no man might buy or sell, except he who had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding count the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man and his number is six-hundred, sixty-six" Revelation 13:16-18.

America is losing ground quickly, while her citizens sleep. The Word of God tells us that only those who are spiritual have eyes to see, "The natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned" 1 Corinthians 2:14.

Meteorites Reported in Cuba, Florida and California

California: Within hours of a meteorite exploding with atomic power over Russia, injuring over 1,000 people, reports came in from San Francisco, California, of a great flash of light over the Bay area. Mike Hankey, operations manager for the American Meteor Society in Genesee, New York, said their group received over 35 reports of a meteor fireball in the Bay area on Friday night, according to The Independent.

Cuba: Meanwhile, a meteorite exploded over Cuba. Residents there described a bright light in the sky and a loud explosion that shook windows and walls, reported the Associated Press. One local resident reported a big ball of fire in the sky, "bigger than the sun." One woman said, "My home shook completely."

Florida: A meteor was seen over Florida from Jacksonville to Miami and central Florida. Residents there made 30 reports to the American Meteor Society. Marketa of Cocoa wrote, "Driving on I-95 south, I saw a green fireball that turned to orange!" Elsie from Winter Haven wrote, "Was driving south on highway 27, at first sight appeared as bright as the sun."

Experts have said, "The meteorite that hit Russia is a rare occurrence." Some experts said it may have been the biggest such blast since a meteor hit Siberia in 1908.

We are living in the last days and we can expect to see more of the same, until the Lord returns. Jesus said, "There will be great earthquakes in diverse places, famines, pestilences and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11.

Many won't believe, until something very catastrophic comes their own way, but they may not have to wait long. The "birth pains" have started and we know they only get worse.

"Of the times and seasons, brethren, you have no need that I write to you, for you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night. When they shall say, 'Peace and safety,' then sudden destruction will come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child and they will not escape. 6.1 Major Earthquake Hits Kermadec Islands Region, New Zealand

A major 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit the Kermadec Islands region of New Zealand on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 12:19:19 UTC, at a depth of 34.1 km (21.2 mi).

There have been 30 major (>5.9) earthquakes in various places over the last 16 days; among which were five 7 and one 8 magnitude quakes!

Jesus said, "Great earthquakes shall be in diverse places, famines and pestilences and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven" Luke 21:11.

Jesus said these signs would appear before He returns, "Nation will rise against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in diverse places" Matthew 24:7.

Malachy Prophecies

A Catholic Archbishop, Bishop Malachy, who lived in the 1100s, left his position in the church and went on to write prophecies relating to visions he said God gave him concerning future Popes, with amazing accuracy, and the future of the apostate church. He wrote that the 112th Pope from his day, the Pope who will be elected after Benedict XVI, will be the last Pope before the return of the Lord.

Those who are aware of the Malachy prophecies, otherwise known as the Prophecy of the Popes, are very much stirred right now about what will happen next, since Pope Benedict XVI has resigned effective the end of this month, and a new Pope will be elected soon. The Catholic hierarchy has announced they expect to conduct the conclave by the end of March.

Whether or not Bishop Malachy's prophecies were all God-inspired remains to be seen; but with all that is happening in the world today, with many Bible prophecies being fulfilled right before our eyes in this generation, I believe his visions and prophecies could very well have been inspired of God. I do know this through my own dreams and visions and by what I see going on throughout the world, that we are hinging on the edge of eternity and the Lord's return is imminent, according to Bible prophecy.

Have you read the Word of God for yourself, or are you possibly relying on what others are telling you is truth? Each one of us has a responsibility to at least compare what we hear and believe to the infallible Word of God. Jesus said in Matthew 24 that false Christ's would come and deceive many (verse 5). How will anyone know who a false Christ is, without first knowing what the Word of God says? The nearly 1,000 (that's a lot of people!) who were deceived and massacred, or committed suicide, at the Jonestown Temple in Guyana, didn't have to be deceived and lured into a tragic death by a charlatan, a false Christ, if they had only known the Word of God for themselves. It is imperative that you know God's Holy Word, otherwise, you will certainly be deceived!

Jesus said concerning the last days, "False Christs will arise, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they would deceive the very elect" Matthew 24:24.

With this warning, right from the mouth of our Lord and Savior, how important do you suppose it is that you know the Word of God for yourself? If you don't own a Bible, get one! I suggest the New King James Version, as it deviates the least from the original Hebrew (Old Testament) and Greek (New Testament), but is much easier to read than the original King James Version. A good online Bible resource is Biblegateway.com. There are also commentaries which explain the Bible verse by verse. I highly recommend BibleStudyTools.com/Commentaries which includes numerous commentaries; and at that website, I recommend the Matthew Henry Commentary on the Whole Bible (Concise - for beginners), (Complete - for seasoned believers).
