A great 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit 268 km ESE of Hotan, China on February 12, 2014, at 09:19:48 UTC, at a depth of 10.0 km (6.2 mi). Magnitude data was taken from the China Earthquake Networks Center (reported by HuffingtonPost.com) and the remaining data was taken from USGS.

The China Earthquake Networks Center officials said at least 20 smaller aftershocks ensued over the following two hours, reported HuffingtonPost.com. No casualties have been reported at this time.
