Ancient Papyrus Unveiled in Rome

Karen King, a Harvard divinity professor, unveiled a 4th century Coptic script at a conference in Rome.  Ms. King announced that researchers identified the words, "Jesus said to them, 'My wife,'" which, she said, might refer to Mary Magdalene. 

The discovery could rise up debate over celibacy and the role of women within Christianity, she said.

BBC News:  Archaeologists in Guatemala have announced the discovery of a 1,300 year old text that makes reference to the last date of the Mayan calendar.  According to the Mayan calendar, 21 December 2012 will mark the end of an era.

Archeologists Discover Bethlehem Artifact

Clay seal dated to 1006 BC to 586 BC with the word "Bethlehem" written in ancient Hebrew.
